The History — “Est 2005”
Maison is the French word for house, and the Maison de Champagne have been producing sparkling wine since the 18th century. Winemaker Jean-Michel Jussiaume inherited his passion for the art and craft of winemaking on his family's estate in the Loire Valley of FRANCE.
The wines are produced with fruit sourced exclusively from the majestic DelRio Vineyards. These Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes were chosen due to their specific balance; fundamental attributes necessary in creating exceptional sparkling wine.
As the old adage says: “Great wine is made from great vineyards.”
In 2005, he arrived in the USA with the dream of sharing these artisanal family traditions, and establishing his own “Maison.” This quest ultimately led to Southern Oregon, where he found grapes uniquely suited for the production of Handcrafted Sparkling Wine.
